Your Career Development Questions Answered

Q:What’s involved in P2R Career Development Coaching?

A: First we meet to look at where your career is currently – what you love about it and what you’re no longer enjoying.  We review how you’ve got to where you are today and do a stocktake of your skills, experience, knowledge and expertise.

The second stage of the process is where the fun starts!  We set your career change goals; identify what you would love to be doing, (if only it was possible) and then create a Career Development Plan to help you make the change.

You’ll be given all the skills, knowledge, access to the ‘hidden market’ and a wide network of resources to make your career change happen.  This may include re-vamping your resume, networking and interviewing skills.

Most importantly, you will be given the support, guidance, confidence and courage to take control of your career and create the future you want.

Q:What type of career management programs do you offer?

A: Tailored to your specific needs and circumstances this may include:

  • Stepping up to become more effective at the role you have today
  • Positioning and preparing for a more senior role or one with another division in your organisation
  • New career with a different industry or organization – identifying your transferable skills and addressing any gaps in your knowledge and skills
  • Finding and winning your ‘ideal’ role
  • Starting your own business – transferring what you know about business to your passion and learning all you need to know about running your own business successfully.
  • Sea Change Success - career and lifestyle change to fulfil your purpose and live your ideal life

Q: How long will it take me to make a career change and find a job I love?

A: Our programs range from 3 coaching sessions through to a full 12 month program for those looking to make a significant career change.

The effectiveness of coaching is directly linked to the action you take.  The more time and effort you invest in your future, the sooner you will a) gain clarity about where you’re heading and b) secure your ideal job.

It also takes a willingness to step outside your comfort zone, get curious about all the different options and have the courage to pursue your opportunities.  P2R acts as a light house, safety net and link to connect you to people and resources that will help you find your dream job.
